Enjoy a week of Classical Hatha Yoga
on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia
with Yoga Teacher, Ginny Moffett of Fire Angel Yoga.
This week of yoga practice will engage students in the ancient 8 ‘limbed’ path of Classical Raja Yoga. We shall explore all 8 limbs - yamas, niyamas, asanas, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and samadhi.

About the Instructor
Ginny Moffett began practising Classical Hatha Yoga in London in 1986 at Dance Works and attended regular classes at the Sivananda Centre.
In 1989, she went to California and trained to teach Vinyasa Ashtanga Yoga with Ganga White and Tracey Rich at the White Lotus Foundation.
She set up her first yoga class in West London at the Quakers Meeting House. In 1990 she left for East Africa and the Sudan where she taught in the private, corporate, educational, medical and humanitarian sectors.

What to Bring
All exercise equipment is provided. Please bring comfortable sports wear and a pair of closed comfortable walking shoes for the island excursions.
For those sensitive to the sun or allergy prone we recommend to bring a sun hat, and allergy sensitive sunscreen. For those that have a particularly fond relationship with island mosquitoes may wish to add some insect repellant and after bite lotion to their "To Bring" list.

Asanas: We shall practice asanas that will improve strength and flexibility in the body.
Pranayama: Practice control & regulation of breath & observe relationship to the mind.

Dharana: The practice of concentration to prepare for meditation.
Dhyana: Meditation
Samadhi: True meditation gives rise to the experience of Samadhi, pure bliss & peace.

Ginny returned to the UK in 2002 and settled in Buckinghamshire where she is presently teaching. In 2007, Ginny qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga and in January 2009, Ginny opened The Space-Yoga & Healing Studio in the market town of Thame, South Oxfordshire offering a wide variety of yoga classes and therapies.

Stonefield Estate Accommodation
Stonefield Estate, nestled at the base of Petit Piton, is a 26 acre working cocoa plantation, overlooking the Caribbean sea on the west coast of St. Lucia. Located one mile away, is the fishing village of Soufrière, where most supplies are available: post office, two banks, several restaurants, as well as grocery shops and a market.
Anse Chastanet Beach, with superb scuba and snorkeling facilities, is just north of Soufrière. There is also a beach restaurant and bar as well as changing facilities for visitors.
Malgretoute Beach, at the base of Petit Piton, is a 15 minutes walk from the estate, or a five minutes drive. > more
